I found it very difficult to put this book down! The mystery of the missing child read like a real life scenario and reminded me of a couple of high profile cases where the parents of the missing child were vilified by the public and faced trial by Twitter.
I didn't have much sympathy for the parents but I couldn't help but be confused by Daisy. I had to keep reminding myself that the missing child was eight years old even though her character read like a cheeky teenager.
Close to Home is a dark and twisty mystery that really kept me guessing to the very end.

I enjoyed the dual narration. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I love cozy mysteries and this boxset made for a good, entertaining listen.
The stories are short which means you can listen to one full story in a few hours.
Each individual mystery is very well written with good, fun characters. The mysteries are not overly complicated but they will still keep you interested and guessing. I really enjoyed the narrator's performance and I look forward to listening to the rest of the series.

A very easy listen and enjoyable time travel romance.
I loved the historical mystery and the suspense. It was very easy to get swept away in the story and the time period and even more so because of the excellent narration.
The romance was sweet and the characters well developed and likeable. The author did a good job of tying all the loose ends together and finding a way for our hero and heroine to have a happy ending.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. I love it when there is a mystery involved in a historical romance as it makes the story that bit more suspenseful and exciting.
I had great sympathy for Rose right from the beginning and so I couldn't wait to find out how she would manage to find true love whilst married to her good friend Lord Ashton. Lord Darington was a charming character and I enjoyed following the pair as he and Rose became friends and then more.
The mystery was well written and the twists kept me guessing.
The quality of the narration made the story even more engrossing. Melanie Fraser gives an excellent performance. It's so easy to live in the story when she's narrating.
I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

The narrator did an excellent job and I found myself listening to this book in one day. It was thoroughly entertaining and had me hooked.
I liked the fact that there was a little bit of suspense in the story and that it was a clean regency romance.
I enjoyed the banter between the main characters as they flirted with each other but it did take quite a few misunderstandings and arguments in order for them to find their way to a HEA together. It was quite an entertaining journey!
I'm looking forward to reading more from the authors.

As much as Beatrice Hyde-Clare relished the challenge of figuring out who murdered a fellow guest during a house party in the Lake District, she certainly does not consider herself an amateur investigator. So when a London dandy falls dead at her feet in the entryway of a London Daily Gazette, she feels no compulsion to investigate. It was a newspaper office, after all, and reporters are already on the case as are the authorities.

A brilliant follow up to A Brazen Curiosity. I listened to this book in one day and I am itching for the next book in the series.
I thought it hilarious that Bea would go to a newspaper office to put in a death notice for her fictitious former love. Not only that but a murder victim falls dead at her feet at the same time! The whole scene was thoroughly entertaining and had me gripped.
I love the friendship that Bea and the Duke have. There is a hint of possible romance as the author teases us with 'will they or won't they' and I am adoring every minute of it.
Excellently narrated and a fantastic read. I am a firm fan of the series!

I've enjoyed listening to this series. Elena can be read as a standalone but it's more enjoyable to read the series in order.
The story is a light, easy read. It is very gentle and can be listened to by all the family.
I loved seeing Melinda and Gilbert again in this book. I liked John but I found myself being disappointed in his attitude to romantic relationships. He wasn't very supportive of Elena at times either and I knew he would have to mature and make up for his mistakes before there would be any happy ever afters! It was fun to follow him on this journey of discovery. and redeem himself. A pleasant, family friendly read. Recommended.
