Sad ending, and story in general. I couldn't get into this book initially but very glad I kept going.

I found this book really confusing and although I enjoyed the story and followed the plots I could not marry them together. This may of been explained earlier but forgot it by Time I had got to the expplanatilon. Also I foresaw the outcome but it turned out not quite as I expected.

I am a great fan of Adams on the last leg and I think it even more now, great life, friends and choices. You couldn't of plucked a better narrator, it was so funny. I loved it.

Just finished Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stephenson and I really enjoyed the story. Can remember the book cover from my primary school and the names of various characters stand out but that is all. It was nice to be transported to the island, even though it may of been with some questionable shipmates. I imagine this is apt amount children at the moment with Pirates of the Caribbean etc. But as most of the story told by the young Jim Hawkins it is more captivating. Despite being of advanced years I too got lost in the tale.

The scene is set for A Pair of Blue Eyes by Thomas Hardy, it was suggested I read/listen to this by a good friend, so I did. It was a good call because a) I had not heard of this and nay of missed it and b) I really enjoyed it. It did not end as I had expected and is a nice nieve version of a love triangle. Hardy really paints vivid pictures in your mind and the whole story comes alive.

A very good book and I honestly thought it was not going to end well. People like Becky always seen to get away with it.

I was to begin, but reaching the end everything made sense. As the title portrays you expect Martin to play a major part, not so for the majority of the book although he was not very far away. Glad I percevered and listened to everyone get their just deserts.

I have no knowledge of this story whatsoever having neither read it before or seen it on TV. Rightly or wrongly the title never appealed to me. As I had enjoyed other stories by Thomas Hardy I ventured to give it a go. At one hour into it, it has proved to be totally different than I imagined and with eagerness wait for my next instalment. My daily listening quota is 1.5 hours (self determined) and the more I read the more I wanted to exceed this, I didn't though. On finally reaching the end it wasn't the happy ending I has expected and wanted. But still a good read.

A very moral book but lovely, much better reading as an adult. Good to read all 4 books simultaneously.
