I'm currently studying Debra's Inner View course and this is a great addition.
Her style is so witty and her grasp of the subject matter is engaging and entertaining.
I loved it!

Someone that I'd love to have at a dinner party!

Jennifer's style is exactly as you'd expect from one of the genius' of British comedy!
She's just so funny and eloquent - everything I'd love to be - her grasp of the best of our English language means that she has such a fabulous way of sharing her life with us.
Loved every minute of it.

Good, if a little confusing!

I didn't start to enjoy this audiobook until almost half way through - I couldn't relate to it and it felt rambling at best to start with. I decided to stick with it and I'm glad I did although I'm not sure I can wade through 90 archetypes to find out more about myself!!

I also find it particular controversial to hear Ms Myss saying towards the end that everything that happens to us is part of a Contract - which included murder, rape, untimely death etc and that there were agreements for these - intimating that some of it was 'deserved' from a previous incarnation. No, just no!

Enjoyable, if unbelievable but the end!

I enjoyed listening to the story but it really was pretty unbelievable in the end.

Shades of The Lovely Bones are definitely apparent in this story - but I enjoyed it on its own merit too!

It's well worth a listen even once you've realised what's happened/happening. Letting the truth unfold through the various characters' stories, shows how we all see things from such different perspectives.

I can understand why this is a 'Marmite' tale!

I loved the premise of this story and the narration was terrific ..... however, I zoned out during some of the rather arduous paragraphs of descriptions of antiquities. If you don't know your antiques then it all becomes a bit of a blur!

The author is clearly a remarkable talent and I appreciated the structure and language used but it did end up feeling rather self-indulgent - there was too much self pity from the central character, at times, when we were already on his side,

The character descriptions, however, were great and for someone like me, who builds visualisations, they worked brilliantly.

But the lengthy, and often samey, passages - well, they left me cold. It took me weeks to get through the story because I generally only listen in the car - 32 hours is far too long and I couldn't see why the story warranted it. I ended up glad that I'd finished rather than wishing it wouldn't end.

I will check out the film though because I'm fascinated to see how the characters come to life.

I love the all-out honesty of Erika Jayne - many of us have an alter ego and she allows hers space to be whoever she needs to be. Unleashed, loud and proud.

I really enjoyed listening to this

Highly recommended!

This story was recommended to me by a friend who's in a book club - I'm so glad I took her advice!
The story is fascinating and chilling - unputdownable; even though I was 'listen' in the car! I just wanted to go on longer journeys so that I could continue listening!
I had various scenarios in my mind of how things might play out but I did not see the ending coming!
Excellent and well worth it!
