What is true minimalism? True minimalism is quite different from what you see in mainstream media. Many people are leading "minimalist" lifestyles to the extreme, eliminating everything they have and living with next to nothing. In reality, this is often a delusional depiction of what minimalism truly is. These scenarios are often attention-grabbing for their shock value, and lead people to believe that a minimalist lifestyle means that you live a life of lack and struggle. After all, how joyful can you be when you have nothing to fulfill your day-to-day needs?

Why start an audio book on minimalism with the first two chapters on long winded legal blurb and an upsell to a diet book? Aweful start, that should have been put at the back.

For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

This book grew out of a series of letters to my daughter concerning various things - mostly about money and investing - she was not yet quite ready to hear. Since money is the single most powerful tool we have for navigating this complex world we've created, understanding it is critical.

There just isn't enough time for everything on our to-do list - and there never will be. Successful people don't try to do everything. They learn to focus on the most important tasks and make sure those get done. They eat their frogs. There's an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're done with the worst thing you'll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life.

Great advice and distilled down to the essence of the message. Don't be put off by the length of the audio, it's the content that matters most and this author is refreshingly succinct.

Great advice for getting more done in the same time, I'm already a list maker but I'll be adopting some of these ideas for sure.

Nicely summarised at the end of each chapter, with exercises to encourage deeper thinking and a whole book summary conclusion at the end of the audio.

Good job, I'm tempted to pick up more of your work!

Some great content but all too often repetitive, vague and lacking solid details - instead referring the listener to various online education for sale and looping the same message to make enough pages for a book, when in fact it's an excellent report at best.

I did enjoy the unique content and questions posed, but it needed to be less wordy for sure. Maybe some of the ideas on the website references should have been in the book if they were important enough to reference and the price of the book raised to cover the authors time.
