Lucy Brewer would never have guessed that her best friend, Duffy McCready (of McCready’s Bait Shop & Funeral Home) has been in love with her since they were kids. Fear of rejection and his own romantic complications prevented Duffy from confessing his true feelings in high school, so he stood by and watched her wed Wayne Bowman right after high school. Wayne had always been a cheapskate, so it comes as no surprise when he suffers a fatal accident while fixing his own truck.

Margot Cary has spent her life immersed in everything Lake Sackett is not. As an elite event planner, Margot's rubbed elbows with the cream of Chicago society and made elegance and glamour her business. She's riding high until one event goes tragically, spectacularly wrong. Now she's blackballed by the gala set and in dire need of a fresh start - and apparently the McCreadys are in need of an event planner with a tarnished reputation.

Delivering a rare book to a valued customer is definitely part of mild-mannered archivist Anna Whitfield's job description. You know what isn't? Protecting her precious cargo from midflight theft by the very pilot who is flying her to Half-Moon Hollow...while trying to appear as unappetizing as possible to the only other passenger, a vampire. Undead bookstore owner Jane Jameson could be waiting a very long time for her book. Possibly forever.

You're not supposed to want the one who torments you. When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn't prepared for how much of a jerk he'd be. I hated that he took it out on me because he didn't want to be here. I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room. But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

What a brilliant book. It's been a long time since I've listened to a book from start to finish in a 24hr period. I only had 4hrs sleep, just so I could listen to "one more chapter".

Loveable charaters, excellent story, great twist and a satisfying ending. It's the type of book you can listen to/read again and again.

I'll be looking for my next book from this author straight away!

I'm really disappointed with this follow up story. to Billy and Me. It lacked the cuteness and the overall ahhhhh of the first book.
I felt the story line was a little flat and moved slowly with the constant questing/whining/uncertainty of the main character.

I had to give the performance only 1* also. In the first book the lady reading the book was excellent, using different accents and tones of her voice. With a different person reading this book, it felt all wrong. I don't think it helped that I know the actress that reads it and constantly pictured her in my head and the characters she has played on screen. I found her voice annoying.

I would recommend this book if you want to know the ending of Sophie and Billies story only. Not recommended if you have never read Billy and Me.

What a great story. I laughed out loud, I cried and I was shocked.
I'm a huge fan (superfan) of a certain male pop star and the beginning of this book was so realistic, the way the main character acted when she met Scottie it was brilliant.
I fell in and then out of love with Scottie and just loved Fern all the way through.
I'm not sure if there is another book following on from this one I will definitely be reading it.
Brilliant, brilliant book!!
