Start to finish I was hanging of every word.
Told in such a way that I was there living along side Roddy expirencing his life and then there in the public gallery during the trial.

More of a lecture than a story

The first 4/5 hours are a real struggle.
I was like listening to a history professor, a brief history of LOTR, 10’s of thousands of years, a civilisations history covered in a few chapters.
Names and places and there eleven names and there names given by men and how these names changed with given events. Family history with who married who and their children and all their rolls within it all.

It does start to tell more of a story as to book goes by and it does become more enjoyable and by the end a suppose I was fully involved.

Just as an example there are some short stories added into this book the last one and the final chapter is the story of the rings and wizards and the half-lings this last chapter lasted 1 hour. So that gives you an idea of the amount of ground that was covered in the previous 13 hours.

Side note, the production issues that are in some of the reviews seem to be resolved.

Repetitive and lacked continuity

If you you’ve listened to the previous 5 your obviously going to listen to the last instalment.
But as the previous 5 all thrown weapons go end over end and silences last for what seems and eternity every battle is lost untill out of nowhere someone saves the day every heart slams in their chest.
