A beautiful story, touching without being over sentimental. An interesting and thought provoking account that brings to life what it must be like to be affected by Alzheimer's.

For over 20 years, Belasco House has stood empty. Regarded as the Mt. Everest of haunted houses, its shadowed walls have witnessed scenes of unimaginable horror and depravity. All previous attempts to probe its mysteries have ended in murder, suicide, or insanity.

I was after a scary book but didn't feel this book achieved that - some scenes were nauseating but not frightening.

This is one of the best books I have ever listened to and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The story is gripping, the characters are completely believeable and it is utterly absorbing. The narrators in this audio edition are totally suited to the parts that they play and they bring it all to life. It's absolutely wonderful.
