Linston End on the Norfolk Broads has been the holiday home to three families for many years. The memories of their time there are ingrained in their hearts: picnics on the river, gin and tonics in the pavilion at dusk, hours spent seeking out the local swallowtail butterflies. Everyone together. But widower Alastair has been faced with a few of life's surprises recently. Now, he is about to shock his circle of friends with the decisions he has made - and the changes it will mean for them all. For some, it feels like the end. For others, it might just be the beginning....

This is a fantastic book. This is not like “The Holiday” ie it’s a tad heavier. I was a bit surprised by that. However, the plot twists were right. Also I most commend the narrator. I very rarely listen to books narrated by men (Stephen Fry doing Harry Potter being the exception) but dude really did well! I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you.

The brand-new novel from the Sunday Times best-selling author of The Perfectly Imperfect Woman - a gorgeous listen full of love, life and laughter. Sophie Mayhew looks like she has the perfect life. Wife of rising political star John F Mayhew, a man who is one step away from the top job in the government, her glamour matches his looks, power, breeding and money. But John has made some stupid mistakes along the way, some of which are threatening to emerge.

I’m never disappointed with Milly Johnson‘s offerings and this latest one is of no exception. The plot was great and un-put-down-able as usual. Coupled together with the voice & talent of Colleen Pendergast meant the last 48hrs has been a delight!

Mark and Giulia fell for each other in their teens, married in their 20s, and didn't realise what their love would demand of them until Giulia suffered a terrifying and unexpected psychotic break at the age of 27. Hospitalized for almost a month, she was tormented by delusions and paranoia. Upon release, she sunk into an extended suicidal depression during which Mark, struggling to support Giulia, was torn between the demands of keeping her safe and following doctors' orders, and honouring her independence and making her feel loved.

I cried, I laughed & I pondered. As a mental illness sufferer with a husband & sons, this book helped me face my fears head on. But mostly it gave me hope. I'm well now but the dark clouds always seem to circle. You've gotta ride the waves & their story really did help me see that once more. Yes

The hilarious and heartwarming account of Miranda and her life changing dog, the inimitable and most lovable Peggy. Hello dear audiobook browser and welcome to Peggy and Me. The story of my life since getting a beautiful Shih-Tzu Bichon Frise cross puppy (I call the breed a Shitty Frise - fun) in the form of Peggy.

Just finished this & all I can say is wow! Well actually, I've got more: Miranda Hart has always been one of my favourite people but this book actually deepened my respect for her. I learnt so much about being a woman in this world... I bet she wasn't expecting it to be quite as philosophical but it was for me. I laughed a lot & as usual could relate a whole lot too. One day in the not so distant future, I really hope I get to meet my very own Peggy!
