Not really my thing, I found it a bit boring to tell the truth. I only bought it to fill the vacume. Not enough crime/detective books come up on the daily deal.
Unless you're into sifi books, I'd give this one a miss. Let's have more good detective or spy thrillers on the daily deal, thank you.

Probably the best book Dean Koontz has written.
I'm not going to say anything about the story line as it may spoil it for you. What I will say is it's worth every cent, so buy it and enjoy it. It's a great read.

A brave story considering he's become a target of the state.
A good story to understand Russian politics and corruption are one and the same thing.
Well worth listening to.

Loved it! Funny, sexy, sad at times but above all a great listen. My advice get it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I hope she writes more like this.

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast and hope there's more from these two. Unfortunately unlike most of Audible books there was nothing at the end about other recordings of this type.
I seriously hope that if this the review is read by the Audible team they will rectify this and advertise any other works by these two investigative journalists. This being my only criticism of this podcast.

The first time I heard this story was whilst caring for my mother in CD format and was surprised how much I enjoyed it, as I'm more of a detective fan. But now she has gone I thought I'd revive memories of sitting with her listening to some of the books that have her so much pleasure in her final years. It still gives me pleasure listening to it again not just because of the memories of her but because it's a thoroughly enjoyable tale. So I can recommend Nicolette McKenzie's books to anyone who likes an intriguing mystery without the kind of violence and brutality in so many of the crime stories I tend to be drawn to, in search of mystery and detection. That's why I give this book five stars. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

As a confirmed atheist, I found the religious tone of this book abnoctious and Really wish I had sent my money elsewhere. I couldn't wait to regain the space it took up on my phone by deleting it. unfortunately it's still in the could and there seems no way to wipe it out entirely. So I can only award it one star for the effort it must have taken to produce this waste of space.

For a first novel it is excellent. For me I found her writing exquisitely descriptive, not just the characters in the story but the way in which she brings London alive at a not so pleasant period in it's history especially for the poor. Although it paints a picture of a time and place I would love to view first hand, it is not one where I would want to have lived. To say I enjoyed this book does not go far enough but I seriously recommend you to listen to this one if you, like myself are captivated by tales of the 1800s.
At the end She mentioned that she has not finished with this period and gives a brief insite to her 2nd book and I can't wait to hear it. 5stars for The Doll Factory. May there be many more from Miss Macneal.
