A great sequel to the first book, with a vastly improved narration, a riveting listen from start to finish and it was a shame it had to end. Oh well, I'd better download the third in the series

The storyline was good new fresh narration was rushed and almost monotone, shame really as it detracted from a really good story. It didn't stop the enjoyment though, just left me wishing I could differentiate between characters all the time.

From New York Times best-selling author Jay Kristoff comes a dangerous new fantasy world and a heroine edged in darkness. Mia Corvere is only 10 years old when she is given her first lesson in death. Destined to destroy empires, the child raised in shadows made a promise on the day she lost everything: to avenge herself on those that shattered her world. But the chance to strike against such powerful enemies will be fleeting, and Mia must become a weapon without equal.

I really didn't want this to end, the narration was excellent and flowed with the storyline. My next task is to look for the sequel!
