Great narrator. I like his work on the radio also.
However the story was somewhat far fetched and dull. I think I’ll return.

Great police thriller. Male narrator was very good five star performance. The female narrator gave a stilted performance so much so it was had to be sure if the scene had finished.

A very difficult listen due to the hammy narration. It made it hard to tell if the story was any good. It’s a real shame for the author.

Poor story and over the top narration. Not really a story just a series of events.

I wonder if this book should be for teenage girls. It’s very very long for no reason. It may have worked if it was shorter. At the end I was not really sure what had happened as I just could not focus on the oh so boring plot. Sorry tana not your best work.

I think this maybe dated now. Interesting environmental and feminist views but not really working as a novel, at least not for me.

Very predictable and unbelievable characters. Lack of believable human emotion. It did make me want to visit the west coast of Scotland.

I could not get on with this audiobook. The narrator was very stilted, pausing all the time.
The characters were all odious and I didn’t care what happened to them. The 10 year old girl was written as though she was 5 and so did not work for me.
Others seem to enjoy it but I could wait for it to finish.

I love Belinda Bauer’s books. A real shame about the narrator. He is just as bad on the archers! Constantly reading with his actor voice.
Still worth a listen
