A lovely book, interesting story line which gave an insight into a period of history from a perspective which I’d not heard before. I enjoyed the story throughout, from the start to the end.

The first in a brand-new series about dancing, friendship and following your dreams, from best-loved author Jean Ure. When new girl Caitlyn arrives at Coombe House School, Maddy is sure she must be a fellow ballet dancer; she certainly has all the grace and poise of a ballerina. So when Caitlyn denies it, Maddy isn't convinced. But it isn't until she comes across Caitlyn practising ballet in the gym that she realises there must be more to her story...Just what can it be? Maddy is determined to find out!

My 10 year old daughter loved this book so much and is re-listening to it. It has a mix of drama, dance, humour and excitement. She would definitely recommend it.

Marvellously atmospheric tale of strangers summoned to a grand but neglected villa on the Italian coast. Each of them has been named in a will, but nobody knows their benefactress.... Four very different people are named in a will. Delia, an opera singer robbed of her voice by illness; George, an idealistic scientist who cannot face what his skills have created; Marjorie, desperately poor and unable to dislodge her writer’s block; and Lucius, ostensibly in control but whose personal life is in chaos.

I really enjoyed the intrigue of the plot, the characters, the story and the way it was delivered/narrated. It kept me wanting to listen all the way through. It had a mystery, a little romance and an interesting set of characters. A brilliant book. So glad I got it!
