I'm a fan of the Galaxy's Edge series, but it took me a while to read this as it was a short. And what a story it is. Thank Jason and Nick for a great set of books.

I haven't listened to the first series and it looks like I'm going to have to. It was fast paced and it felt sometimes, that I wanted to come up for air. As usual, R.C.Bray was brilliant with his oration, and added so much depth to the story.

Loved it.

The book itself doesn't need explaining. Together, with The Lord of the Ring an absolutely brilliant set of stories. Rob Inglis reads them all so well too.

War of the Worlds has been my favourite book since I was a young boy. I've read the book so many times. I've seen the movies including the documentary version, and although I've liked them, they've never really captured the feel of the book. I've been a fan of the musical since I was young too. Going to bed with my headphones on to listen to it. But again the differences to the book were glaring.

But this time, I have really enjoyed it. Although different to the book again, it really does try to capture the feel of it. The narrative, the music, the sounds, it all sucked you in. Such as the battle at Weybridge, the narrative took you there, seeing it, feeling it, almost living it.

Thank you So much Jeff Wayne and Audible.
In my mind, a masterpiece.

So engrossing. A brilliant well written and well read story. So many complex characters and events keep building up to its conclusion through terrible and horrific events.

Yup. That'll do it

I enjoy John Henry's books. Having started with the lost fleet and Tarnished Knight, it feels good to be back in that universe again. It feels like the books and narration have grown up a bit with a lot more flow to them. It's also great to see the marines' action too. Something that was only touched on in the older books.

Really looking forward to the next ones. Thank you Mr Henry for the book and once again well read by Christian Rummel.

I'm fond of this book and to be able to listen to whilst doing other things is a real joy. Rob Inglis' voice is a soothing voice to listen to also. Almost like the book was written for him.

I've read these books so many times and still find them a good yarn. Whenever I get bored and need to return to books I know, Black Jack calls me back.
