Augustus Berry lives a day-to-day existence comprised of waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable day when "they" will come up the side of his mountain and penetrate his fortress. Where does Safari rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I couldn't stop listening to this book. It was gripping and well written with a great narrator's voice.

What did you like best about this story?

The author's dry sense of humour was a great light relief in comparison to the dark, hopeless situation Gus often found himself in.

Any additional comments?

I cant wait to listen to the next book to find out if his life gets any easier!

Boomstick. Samurai bat. Motorcycle leather. And the will to live amongst the unliving. Augustus Berry lives a day-to-day existence comprised of waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable day when "they" will come up the side of his mountain and penetrate his fortress. Living on the outskirts of a city and scavenging for whatever supplies remain after civilization died two years ago, Gus knows that every time he goes down into undead suburbia could be his last.

Excellently narrated! I was on tenterhooks as I listened. Very good descriptive writing. I couldn't wait to listen every time I drove to and from work. Great lead character.
