Really enjoyed this book which is the first of four books in the series so far. Luc the french/Scottish main caricature is really well written as are the others and i could put myself int he room when some of the conversations were taking place. Also really enjoyed the accent developed for Luc by the narrator with sadly does not continue onto the other books in the series

Really enjoyed this book and wish that there was another one to continue Kats adventure / some of the secondary characters deserve to be developed further - buts that’s just my opinion 😊
Lots of good twists and turn and although there are two separate story lines going it’s not confusing at all, also enjoyed the subtle nod to Win Lockwood very much

I have read all of the other books in this series so I had no hesitation in purchasing it almost without reading the description however I really struggled with the way it was written. At times I felt as though I was attending a lecture and should be taking notes which was a shame. I know that had I physically been reading the book I would have been skipping over sections.
However I did persevere and finish it which I am glad I did as there is a twist at the end but I still have a few unanswered questions.

I have read & loved all the Kim stone books and this is no exception- it is one of those books which hooks you completely from the very beginning, draws you into the story which you want to know everything about and how it ends but at the same time are sad because you want it to last for ever - roll on the next one please
My only caveat would be don’t start with this one go back to the beginning and get to know all the characters to really appreciate this story line

Fantastic 4th promise falls yarn - quite often I find that a couple of books into the series they get predictable however this is the complete opposite - kept the momentum right up to the last minute - seriously keeping fingers crossed for the announcement that there will be a 5th one.
While it would be possible to read this as a stand alone I would recommend reading the other 3 first

I enjoyed most of this book however really wish that i hadn't read all the reviews on Audiable as it spoilt the story somewhat as i was waiting for something to happen rather than it evolving.

Feel that you would need to read Jump first to understand some of the relationships, and that the ending was a bit rushed - could have done with another couple of chapters to pace it our a bit or some of the middle chopped, but enjoyed it and look forward to the next one

When torrential summer rains uncover a bizarrely tattooed body on a Lake District hillside, old wives' tales also come swirling to the surface. For centuries Lakelanders have whispered that Fletcher Christian staged the massacre on Pitcairn so that he could return home. And there he told his story to an old friend and schoolmate, William Wordsworth, who turned it into a long narrative poem.

For nearly 2,000 years, only one Druid has walked the Earth - Atticus O'Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword have kept him alive as he's been pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he's got company. Atticus' apprentice, Granuaile, is at last a full Druid herself. What's more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do.

Once again the story unfolds around you and draws you in. This is the latest story in the Iron Druid series and one not to be missed
I love Oberon almost as much as Atticus and he definitely has the best lines in the story that make you want to laugh out loud which when traveling makes people look at you rather strongly but makes you realise what it must be like for Atticus on a 24/7 basis - I also warmed to the Arch Druid as the story progressed and look forward to his adventures to come 😀
