I couldn't get on with this at all

I purchased based on all the good reviews, and I really tried to get into it, but it just wasn't working. The narrator's voice irritated me slightly, and I'm sure that's just a personall thing, as so many people think she's excellent.

The writing seemed to be good, but there was something missing in the story. Perhaps necromancy is not my thing.

Or maybe I was spoilt, as I'd just finished Martha Wells Murderbot series, and loved theam so much, I binge listened solidly for 2-3 days. I didn't like the narrator of her fantasy series either, hence looking for my next book, I think I'm just too picky.

Hoping for a book 6

I love how Murderbot has evolved. love the humour, the story, and Kevin Free. Especially love that it was a full length novel, and I'm really hoping Martha Wells has another one of these in the works.

Enjoying these books more and more

The 4 stars is simply for audible value for money, 3 something hours is not much for a credit.
I love the story and the narrator is excellent. he brings Murderbot to life so perfectly. I'm really really looking forward to book 5 now, which is a full novel.

Really enjoying these, but disappointed you have to use 1 credit for a 3 hour novella, hence 4 stars.

Not quite as enjoyable as the first Trilogy

It took a while to get used to the 4 different narrators, but I still became engrossed in the story, as pre the previous books.

It lost a star, because the person reading Lysander's part was just awful,. maybe I've been completely spoilt by the original performances and TGR, but it sounded like he was just reading something off in a hurry. It could have been a shopping list really. There were more times when he completely missed the meaning of a sentence, because he read it wrong, than I can count. I find it difficult to believe he was selected alongside the qualities of the other 3. If I'd bought a whole book with him reading it like that, I'd want my money back.

Other than being irritated, and spending time putting the right inflections on Lysander's part, in my head, I didn't want to stop listening, and looking forward to the next installment.

Really enjoyed it

Liked Sue Perkins before, love her even more now. she made me laugh, she made me sad, and she is so painfully honest about herself. I will listen to this again at some point.
