Jason Fox served with the SBS for over a decade, thriving on the close bonds of the Special Forces brotherhood and the ‘death or glory’ nature of their missions. Battle Scars tells the story of his career as an elite operator, from the gunfights, hostage rescues, daring escapes and heroic endeavours that defined his service to a battle of a very different kind: the psychological devastation of combat that ultimately forced him to leave the military and the hard reality of what takes place in the mind of a man once a career of imagined invincibility has come to an end.

Thank you for writing and narrating this book. You will never know how much you have helped me understand what my late Parents endured and also myself. It is as if you handed me the key for a particularly troublesome, very old lock. Thanks seem so inadequate for getting my life back.

I don't normally read/listen to either autobiographical or biographical books.

I am still not sure what made me pick this one. However, the life of Colour Sergeant Kailash Limbu and his time in Afghanistan is truly interesting and full of humour.

One does not need to have an interest in the Army to appreciate the book: just curiosity. Why not try it?

This book exceeded my expectations. Not only did I feel inspired and motivated, I knew I was correct with my personal mantra of "Never give up and never give in".

I have changed my viewpoint. Instead of seeing help as a weakness and something to be ashamed of; it's merely teamwork. After all I have to put effort into the process also.

Now I have HOPE and don't feel ashamed and weak because I have to accept help. It is just part of the process of literally getting back on my feet and at the same time increasing my mental toughness.

A big thank you to Admiral William McRaven USN (Retired) for writing this life changing instruction manual. God bless you and your family.

Fifth grade was the worst year of Marc's life. He stunk at gym class, math was too hard for him, the school lunch was horrible, and his class field trip was ruined because he couldn't swim. But what was the most awful thing about fifth grade? Kenny Williamson, the class bully, who called himself the "King of the Jungle". When Marc's mother tells him that his uncle Jake is coming to stay for the whole summer, Marc can't wait. Uncle Jake is a for-real super-cool Navy SEAL. And Uncle Jake has a plan.

Often incorrectly referred to as one of Paul’s “prison epistles” (he was not in prison in Rome in A.D. 60-62; he was living in his own rented house, free to come and go as he pleased), Ephesians is a brilliant exposition of Paul’s thesis that we are “saved by grace through faith”. It is also a glittering display of Paul’s rhetorical fireworks. Logos Bible Study’s Dr. Bill Creasy examines this extraordinary epistle in detail.

I enjoyed the story, the suspense, emotions and humour. Great characters, I cannot chose between them, although Buddy and Uncle Joe are in the lead.

The first book in decades where I have not worked out who-done-it before the Author reveals the baddie. In fact I was so engrossed in the novel that I listened to it in one session.

Well done DiAnn Mills, Suzy Jackson and Therese Plummer.
