As a audio listener only, having some previous stories only as picture books is frustrating and they are referred to. I liked this story but not as much as others as there was a little too much police jargon in it, it took away from the story.

love the characters and look forward to the next book

Most witches don't work for police departments, but Michelle isn't your average witch. She's clanless, looking for a warlock who isn't offended by her lack of family connections, and in danger of losing her job if she can't find the eight escaped trolls before they start eating the local residents. Trolls, angry police, and misbehaving spells are the least of her problems. Statues attacking homeowners might be problematic for your average witch, but to Michelle it's another day at the office.

did not realise it was part of a series and therefore found it short and wanting, just about a stand a lone book. it was read very nicely and the jump from one characters head to another was nicely done. I love the growing relationship.

As a audio book it will work out to costly for the series for me, I will look out for offers.

Sure, he saved her from a brutal death at the hands of the guards, and he did stop decrepit faerie monsters from eating her.
