the story is probably really good, but the narrator completely destroyed it! one minute she's talking so slowly i speed it up, but then she launches, for seemingly no reason at all, into a fast sprint that just goes on and on and on!
i will be avoiding this narrator in the future, as i truly feel it was the narrator and NOT the story or author at fault.
i plan to look for this book in print in the future.
Did not finish book.

Any additional comments?

i had already read the ebook of this title, and liked the series. i was looking forward to having all the books in the series on audio, but Audible.co.uk seem to not be releasing book 2. . .even though they have already released book 3?. . . :/ (publisher claims Audible have all rights, and should already be selling book 2 in the UK, they are already selling it in the US, which i can believe given having the same problems on many different occasions with Audible.co.uk)

in terms of this performance in this publication, i found the narrator a little bit robotic sounding. it's not enough to put you off, for me anyway, but is a little bit weird. along with the accents being a little weird also.
the story is what it is. it's romance, it's a story not a real life event. but it's what i would call a guilty pleasure read, because it's a HEA guaranteed type of book! lol

Christopher Mason, front man of the band The Forgotten, is hot, famous, and everything you would expect from a famous rock star. He's cocky, demanding, beautiful, and pained. Despite his fame and beautiful bad boy appearance, he's battling age-old demons on the inside. Demons so powerful, they have the potential to destroy him and his band. He's the ultimate falling star. Something so beautiful within the atmosphere, but so hazardous when trying to catch.

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Nicole Colburn?

anyone. just anyone else.

Do you think Falling Stars needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

yep, because i love this story and characters. for the love of good, change the narrator though!

Any additional comments?

i read this Ebook a while back, and was really looking forward to having the audio book to listen to during housework and craft project ect.
i don't know what this narrator was on when she decided to record this voice, but all the males sound like they are high southern Cali surfers that are too bored to be paying attention to anything! i actually cannot finish this, as much as i would love too, because it's just too off putting :(

Welcome to Rabbit Creek.... City girl Elizabeth Reynolds hopes to find peace and contentment in the small Appalachian town of Rabbit Creek. Okay, so the bucolic cottage she's rented turns out to be a dilapidated cabin without phone service, but the people she meets are wonderful. Friendly and down to earth, they welcome her with open arms. It's just like moving to Mayberry...if Andy and Aunt Bea were wolves. Only an outsider would call them werewolves.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

recommend the book? Yes
recommend the audio book? No
the story is good, the narrator is not.

How could the performance have been better?

different narrator. very annoying high pitched voice, didn't stick to the accents the characters were meant to have. . .

Any additional comments?

i bought the audio book to this story after starting the Ebook but not having the time to carry on, so i know it's the narrator that has ruined this story.her voice is far too distracting, and just when i think i can get use to it, she does something else to put me off.please, if you are able, try the Ebook instead of the Audio for this story.
