I struggle to understand why this has so many good reviews. I found the story and plot tedious and far fetched, the voice of Sarah was hideous. The female characters were pathetic and weak willed. Really unpleasant to listen to. I forced myself to listen to the end in the hope it would get better. It didn’t.

I struggled through to chapter 3 - it was so difficult to engage with. The style of writing compared with the strong accent and monotone narration made it incredibly boring to listen to so made the decision to give up!

This book was ok, not amazing. At times the writing style sounded amateurish and childish making me cringe. The story line was good in places but I felt the main thread kept getting lost and then the ending was really rushed which was very disappointing.

I really didn’t enjoy this book at all. I appreciate the writing style was beautiful at times but the content was confusing and mind numbingly boring. It was a load of pretentious drivel for the most part and completely lacked a gripping plot. As i’d suffered half the book before I decided to give up I felt I had to endure it to the end. It didn’t get any better.

This is a fantastic listen. Wonderful story and characters you really learn to love. Great narration which is sadly ruined by the crudely added chapter numbers shouted in between and sometimes over the dialogue. What a shame - this needs re editing.

This was a strange book. There was a half decent story at the centre of it, but it was ruined by constant irritating acronyms such as FML which just made me think of annoying teenage text speak. Main character comes across as a whining, self centred middle class idiot and I just found her so annoying. Also the narrator sounded far too old for the character’s voice. Not great but I felt obliged to listen to the end once I’d started!

I really enjoyed this - great characters and story line. I know an ending is supposed to leave you feeling like you want more, but this really did feel as if it ended halfway through a story. I hope we hear more from these characters.

Excellent audiobook. Loved the story and narration brilliant. It certainly deserves its thriller of the year title. I would highly recommend.
