Don’t you hate it when you start listening to
a book and then get a 1/3rd of the way through before remembering you read it years ago? Still a brilliant book the second time round

Probably my favourite Martina Cole book to date. Storyline was excellent. Not easy to narrate when you’ve not two Bailey twins and they’ve got 7 Bailey sons and 2 Bailey daughters between them but narration was excellent as always

The third in the Courtney series 'A Sparrow Falls' is a masterpiece and the quality of the writing is matched only by Sean Barrett's brilliant narration. The finale was a tour de force.

Enjoyable first book by Nick Stone. I know some people have compared him to John Grisham but I’m not sure. The reason I gave it 3/5 was because it strayed too far from being plausible, especially around aspects of the police investigation. However I did enjoy it.

Brilliant start to The Survivor. Our hero is about to kill himself when he hears a shot and realises he’s stumbled across a bank robbery. After a brilliant start I felt the story lost its way - especially by the ghostly appearances of Charles - but then it finished as well as it started. There was a deeper meaning to the plot. First book I’ve listened to by Gregg Hurwitz and it was a solid 7/10

I thought the first half of the book was very, very slow and I almost stopped listening. Glad I persisted because second half of the book was much better. I’m just a listener but even the most somber subjects need a bit of humour, which the beginning of the book completely lacked.

Having listened to the entire Clifton Chronicles series This Was A Man was storytelling of a different level. I hung on every word, from beginning to end. Alex Jennings’ narration brought each character to life. Giles Barrington’s eulogy at the end made me feel like I’d lost a friend

If you like Jeffery Archer’s books, you’ll like Ken Follett. Plenty of twists and character development. Really enjoyed it after a slow start. Much racier than I’d expected.

Many years ago my Dad put down a copy of Kane and Abel and said it was one of the best books he'd ever read. I forgot all about it for 30 years until I put down a copy of Kane and Abel and said that was one of the best books I'd ever read. Story telling at its absolute best.

Beautiful story, beautifully narrated by John Lee. Felt I knew all the main characters by the end especially Charlie Trumper, Becky Salmon and the despicable Guy Trentham
