Damian Tate. One look into his sad green eyes and I was hooked. I wanted to be the one to make him laugh, to make him smile. I hadn't expected him to be the one to make me blush, to make me hot...to make me fall in love. He was my first kiss, my first love, my first everything. I wanted forever with him, but life got in the way.

OMG , WOW JUST WOW!!!!
What a story, it had me in tears before chapter 6, giggling and laughing at Thea's sarcasm and sense of humour. Such a powerful love story together with a murder mystery of this is book 1 of a new series then I really can't wait for more to be released on audible. Congratulations to the author on a fantastic book, and to the narrator for a brilliant performance.

Highly reccomended

Yet another brilliant novel by the fantastic Karin Slaughter, there are good author's, fantastic author's and then there are people like Karin Slaughter who have a calling and who were born story tellers and meant to put every word in print.
This novel is again another work of art, brilliant but sad back story with twists you just don't see coming.
At the top of her game for this genre.
Highly recommended especially for those that listen / read : Karen Rose, James Patterson , Rachel Abbott, Angela Marsons.

Ever since Domitian Argenis recognized Sarita as his life mate, he's been waiting for the perfect moment to claim her. Those fantasies did not include him being chained to a table in a secret lab or both of them being held hostage by a mad scientist. Somehow, they have to escape. Sarita has seen some crazy things as a cop, but nothing to rival Domitian. A vampire? Seriously? But his healing ability, his incredible powers, and their mind-blowing physical connection - none of it should be possible, yet her body knows differently.

I love all of Lynsey Sands books, especially the Argeneau series. Immortal unchained was fantastic, with a real twist on her normal stories. I loved it.

The only thing that let it down was Julian Durant, the Narrator. He was bloody awful, seriously. He really put a downer on the experience and enjoyment of the book. He "tries" to do the voice of Quinn a Scottish vampire and he sounded like an Irish Cockney!!!!!
These narrators are meant to be professionals and are paid accordingly so if they are taking on different accents for different characters, you expect them to sound like the country they are portraying. ( i hope that makes sense).

To be honest I was disgusted with Julian Durants performance, and it did take away some of the enjoyment of the book as I found my self concentrating on his voice and not the story, so would have to rewind some of the book. For this reason I have only given this book 4. Stars and that's a first for me with one of Lynsays books.
I just hope that he won't be used again for one of lynsays' books, as I am 100% positive i won't be listening to Mr Durant narrating any books in future.

it took alot of perseverance with this book, but it is worth it. it just seemed to take a life time to get into the story, well over half of the book. please try and keep with it though, i dont want to give any spoilers, but as soon as the twists start the story grabs you and wont let go. every conclusion that i came up with was wrong, and when the final twist is revealed " WOW, JUST WOW" it took my breath away and was completely gob smacked, as i just didnt see it coming at all. Brilliantly written. im now going to try another of her books, and hope that the brilliance wasnt just a one off.

In summary, takes a while to get into the characters & the story, but well worth sticking with.!!
