I do find Jack Reached to be a bit of a busy body. Sticking his nose into other peoples business. But I do love the stories.

It could have been good... but it was blooming awful.

The narrator sounded like a miserable robot.
No enjoyment in the subject matter. Best way to describe the narration of this book is a university lecturer who has given up.

Awful. I wouldn’t recommend this.

Story was a bit dull. Not as I remembered it. But, still good.
Smee and Hook were OUTSTANDING performances.
Worth its price tag (free).

Should be sold in the fantasy section

This is the rare occasion where i say the blasphemous... the TV show was better than the book. But, in this case that is very true.
The book was not good. it was okay at best. i listened to it because of the show and the show was better.
the narrator was faultless. but the book is not good.

It’s okay. But the show is better.

This is the rare occasion where the show is better than the book.
Watch the show, it gives you anxiety and a constantly clenched sphincter... but it’s worth it. TV show is good.

Wow it’s long.

Yes, I know the time is in the description. But, I’m not only talking about the time.
First things first, it’s a great book. No denying it.
But, I’ve not listened to a book like this for a while. There is a lot of content A LOT, of which I found some to not be necessary and which lead me to my mind wonder.
It took me almost 2 months to finish this book because - at times - I simply wasn’t ready to take this up again.

The story is great. The narration is spot on. But it’s just long. The open third was a thing of beauty. The final third was a master piece. But the middle section, for large parts I glazed over.

If you’re going to listen, be prepared. Or maybe you’re a better human being than I am.
I wish you luck.

The beat in the last few.

Nice story. Got some humour. Some excitement and is a fun story.
It’s a long series. But I think I’ll make my way through them.

Hurwitz is fast becoming my favourite author.

This is a bloody brilliant book.
It’s got suspense, plot twists and a real bad guy, everything you’ve come to expect from Hurwitz, which keeps you in the edge of your seat.
Looking forward to my next Hurwitz listen.
Would also recommend the Orphan X series.

This book was so hard to enjoy because the narration was utterly pants. It just never gets better. I’m glad this book is over and I will also from now on test a sample before jumping in.
