They say Paris is always a good idea.... You know what I say? Paris would be a much better idea if I spoke the dang language. I can't even board the metro to visit the Louvre without ending up at the Moulin Rouge, and let's not even mention how I'll ever make it through a day at my new office. Fortunately my company hooks me up with my own personal translator. Ooh la la. Or should I say bloody hell? Because he's charming, witty, and British, and he brings the city to life for me.

I bought this audiobook to hear Richard Armitage and as always his voice and acting bought quality to the text. At first I found the jump from his voice to Grace’s American accent quite jarring but found a few chapters in that I was enjoying her chapters too. I found myself eye rolling at times but overall I enjoyed this audiobook for what it is. If you don’t enjoy this type of fiction at all then it’s probably not for you but I enjoyed listening to this while I walk.

This is a compelling crime novel that I couldn’t wait to listen to the next chapter. I really liked the camaraderie of the police team headed up by DI Jackman. I’m going to immediately look for more books in this series.
Richard Armitage is a fantastic Narrator. He changed between accents effortlessly to portray different characters. I could listen to anything if he is narrating it.

I've made every one of my billions of dollars myself - I'm calculating, astute and the best at what I do. It takes drive and dedication to build what I have. And it leaves no time for love or girlfriends or relationships. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a monk. I understand the attention and focus it takes to seduce a beautiful woman. They're the same skills I use to close business deals. But one night is where it begins and ends. I'm not the guy who sends flowers. I'm not the guy who calls the next day.

I’ve read books by Louise Bay before and loved them. I thought I’d try a new medium and downloaded this to listen to rather than read. The male narrator sounded just like the comedian Rich Hall so I spent a while trying not to picture him as Sam. I don’t know whether I would have enjoyed this more if I’d read it. This is the first time I’ve listened this genre and maybe it just isn’t for me. I found myself rolling my eyes at times when the characters were endlessly procrastinating and maybe if I’d skim read those parts it wouldn’t have been as annoying.

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of After You by the Jojo Moyes, the stunning sequel to the worldwide phenomenon Me Before You. Jojo Moyes says: "I hadn't planned to write a sequel to Me Before You. But working on the movie script and reading the sheer volume of tweets and emails every day asking what Lou did with her life meant that the characters never left me."

I was initially quite disappointed that Lou wasn’t leading the Parisian lifestyle I had imagined for her at the end of Me Before You. Her journey through grief and the unexpected link to Will made for a great story. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Anna Acton was the perfect narrator. I thought she made Lou come to life. I’m now going to have a look for other titles she has narrated.
