I felt this went on a little too much, I was screaming at the phone on way home from work for it to get on with it, on more than one occasion. I swear sometimes I got the whole way home before the conversation finished.

I would not have carried on with this series if I hadn't heard that it takes a different turn in the next book, lets see

Sometimes you can’t even trust yourself.... It was just a patch of ice. Just a bit of bad luck. Firstly not my type of book but fancied a change

The narrator was not very good, she really put me off listening quite a few times basically you have to be in the mood to listen to her

The story, wow it went on and on and on, I was screaming get on with it omg just get on with it

There were some good twists, although absolutely no clues so don't bother guessing

At the end i felt quite flat and glad it was over. I wouldn't listen to it again

According to mythology, mankind used to live in 'The Tranquiline Halls': heaven. But then the Voidbringers assaulted and captured heaven, casting out God and men. Men took root on Roshar, the world of storms, but the Voidbringers followed. The Almighty gave men powerful suits of armor and mystical weapons, the Shardblades. A thousand years ago evil came to the land and has ruled with an iron hand ever since. The sun shines fitfully under clouds of ash that float down endlessly from the constant eruption of volcanoes. A dark lord rules through the aristocratic families, and ordinary folk are condemned to lives in servitude, sold as goods, labouring in the ash fields. But now a troublemaker has arrived, and there is rumour of revolt.

I only down loaded this because of the length of time, I needed something to last me longer than a week and most people seemed to think it was ok. I love horror so it would be a change.
Well I was gripped within the first hour, I just flowed with the characters not trying to understand too much and before I knew it I was there with them. This was just a purely enjoyable book. I was so happy when I found there was a part 2. Michael Kramer was awesome as the narrator he was so good he didn't even need to tell me who he was I could tell and formed some great imaginary characters
Best 1 credit I have used

The most advanced scientific enterprise ever mounted, Sir John Franklin’s 1845 expedition in search of the fabled Northwest Passage had every expectation of triumph. But for almost two years his ships, HMS Terror and Erebus, have been trapped in the Arctic ice. Supplies of fuel and food are running low. Scurvy, starvation and even madness are beginning to take their toll. And yet the real threat isn’t from the constantly shifting, alien landscape, the flesh-numbing temperatures or being crushed by the unyielding, frozen ocean. No, the real threat is far more terrifying.

It was so boring I kept thinking something will happen soon, but nope it didn't the ending was so bad and rushed I felt cheated out of the hours I spent listening to this

The impossible has happened. The Lord Ruler is dead. But so too is Kelsier, the man who masterminded the triumph. The awesome task of rebuilding the world has been left to his protege Vin - a onetime street urchin, now the most powerful Mistborn in the land. Worryingly for her, Vin has become the focus of a new religion, a development that leaves her intensely uneasy.
