Returning from a covert mission, Mitch Rapp was publicly hailed by the president for his role in the fight against terrorism. After years of working in the shadows, Rapp was caught in the media spotlight - and marked for death by virtually every terrorist in the world. Now a CIA advisor, Rapp is ready to battle terror far from the front lines. But when a Navy SEAL team in the Philippines is ambushed, all evidence points to a leak within the U.S. State Department. And a greater threat lurks....

Great story, had me gripped from start to finish.
Excellent performance from George Guidall, so happy he's back, the books are much the better for it...

Now, three years later, the army asks him to end his retirement and parachute into occupied Paris. A mysterious German plan called the Iron Fist threatens the D-Day invasion, and the Nazi in charge is the spy who betrayed Michael’s lover. Where does The Wolf's Hour rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is my favourite novel of all time, I first read it around 20 years ago, and even now it keeps me gripped to every page. However, the narrator doesn't hold the suspense very well and his characterisation of each character never changes, even from male to female or accents from different countries, which I found a huge let down

Who was your favorite character and why?

Michael Gallatin...A British spy with a secret

Any additional comments?

This novel is crying out to be made into a Hollywood movie, with the strength of the lead character this could be a huge success...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Great novel, however the narration was monotone.

Do you think Patriot Games needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It was my intention to listen to all the Jack Ryan books having purchased the first two, however the narration is so poor I don't think I'll bother!!
