I was interested in this book after having seen JPB debate some interesting points on youtube.
The book, which I did persevere with until the end, was a disappointment. There are a handful of interesting new concepts that I had not seen him discuss online. However, the whole book is centred around biblical stories and characters. I found this element did not add anything, and he seemed to spend lots of time justifying doing it. At times, it just feels like listening to a Christian preacher.
If you are interested in his ideas, I'd read more interviews / papers rather than buy this book.
