Native shamanic traditions tell us that there are cords, strands, threads, and filaments of energy that flow to and through us, connecting us to everyone and everything in the universe. Some energy strands make us feel vibrant and alive. Others deplete and weaken us. Most of us are unaware of these energy strands, but they are extremely powerful forces that surround us every day.

Just listening to this book was an uplifting experience. I loved listening to this for inspirational ideas but I feel it would be helpful to have a paper copy as well for easy reference. For those who may be slightly wary of the word ‘witch’ being included in the title- there is nothing to be afraid of- this is a wholesome book which gives you recipes for visualisations, rituals, affirmations, food, herbal teas, bath bombs and scrubs, aromatherapy blends etc. to help you feel more nurtured. Nothing in this book is way out there or inaccessible to a regular person.

The members of London's Peculiar Crimes Unit are on the case again when a dog walker is found dead. The method of the death is odd...the killer had no way in - or out - and the dog is nowhere to be seen. But the 'hows' and 'whys' of the murder are not the only mysteries, and it seems very likely that the killer is preparing to strike again.

On the surface this is a simple tale of an unlikely company of travellers who are travelling together to escape a rapidly spreading plague. Each has a secret that is exposed over time. There is also a strange child travelling with them who has the gift of reading runes. This is however, a rich tale, beautifully woven and superbly narrated. Well worth a credit.

Alice in Wonderland is such a well known classic that I feel not much needs to be said about this. The narration however, is sparkling and brings the book and all the quirky characters to life. Having read the unabridged book just a month before, I feel the audio version adds to the richness of the experience. Of course, that does mean missing out on the beautiful illustrations in a physical book- I have the copy illustrated by Salvador Dali. Which version would I choose? Both are gems in their own right-I would have them both!

It's about how people, organisations and societies can and must hit refresh - transform - in their persistent quest for new energy, new ideas, relevance and renewal.

The book is in three sections- Satya’s background and influences, his vision as Microsoft CEO and approach to large scale organisational culture change, and finally, reflections on the future for technology and possible impacts on society. The only reason I gave this four rather than five stars is because the last bit of the book became quite dry. It was good to hear that all proceeds from this book will be invested in broader societal improvement programmes.
