Genuinely no idea how this book was published - it’s like it was written by a 12 year old boy. Violent threatening situation ... survives ... another violent threatening situation ... survives ... repeat 150 times ... ridiculous plot that gets more and more bonkers as the story unfolds.

I am a feminist ... and I hated this book. I think the most annoying part is the acted voices for guest quotes - if you can’t get the real person, just read them in a normal voice. The acting was appalling and really strange. Maybe I’m naive but I expected to learn a lot more from this book but it was very self indulgent.

Genuinely no clue where all the amazing reviews for this book came from because the story is dull and predictable and the narrator doing Harriet’s story is toe-curlingly bad. Don’t waste your money

One of those books which makes you wonder how on Earth it was published. I would suggest this is meant for teenagers but I think that’s probably patronising teenager. Massively overrated.

Then literally descends into ridiculousness!
Like something written by a school kid.
Ironically all the main character does is research stuff on Google and yet the author should have done WAY more research! Some topics show zero knowledge - eg scuba diving

Endured 2 hours and couldn't go any further. Utter waste of time.
Really disappointed as the title seems so positive and great way to start the year.
If you're not aware of the author before reading google first!

No idea how it got published - the ‘twist’ is obvious way too early. Don’t bother.

In terms of how much I enjoyed this, I'd probably say 2/5, but for it's genre it's a pretty average 3/5. I have to say the narrator reading Tara really spoiled the whole thing ... and I ave a feeling that was O'Porter herself and she should have left it to someone else. The voice was just a bit too over enthusiastic and OTT all the time. I didn't overly like any of the characters, but it was an entertaining enough listen and I like the overall message.

The description is so painfully overblown that you lose any of the good stuff. And some of the narration is so dull that if you are listening whilst driving you will lose half the story. Had to force myself to finish it.

Full of cliches and rather predictable. Narrator is good, but if you read a lot of this genre you won't be surprised by anything.
