Verity Love - Jane Austen fangirl and an introvert in a world of extroverts - is perfectly happy on her own (thank you very much), and her fictional boyfriend, Peter, is very useful for getting her out of unwanted social events. But when a case of mistaken identity forces her to introduce a perfect stranger as her boyfriend, Verity's life suddenly becomes much more complicated.

I loved the first book... but this book was the best book I've read in a very long time.

The characters are so realistic you really empathise with them, even knowing how it'll end you go through the roller coaster of emotions with them. If you love books and a happy ending you won't regret buying this book.

I'm so sad the 3rd book is released tomorrow but I have to wait an unknown amount of time for the audio version... I can't wait I'm hooked! I have a new favourite author!

This book has inspired me to re-listen to Pride and Prejudice though :)

Where happy ever after is only a page away…A delightful new series set in a quaint old bookshop, for fans of Lucy Diamond and Jenny Colgan. Once upon a time in a crumbling London bookshop, Posy Morland spent her life lost in the pages of her favourite romantic novels. So when Bookend's eccentric owner, Lavinia, dies and leaves the shop to Posy, she must put down her books and join the real world. Because Posy hasn't just inherited an ailing business, but also the unwelcome attentions of Lavinia's grandson.

I really did not like Sebastian! he was a nasty, rude and overbearing man with no redeeming qualities!! I only kept with it as I liked the writing and the relationship dinamics between the characters. I loved Posy's love of literature...

keep with it though... you won't regret it. I enjoyed the book very much. and even Sebastian grew on me that I was rooting for him!! The book was realistic to life in the way that life doesn't always go your way.

And had a few laughs along the way. now off to purchase the next book...

In her charming historical romance classic, The Chase, a beautiful Highlands hellion flees the handsome "English devil" she's been promised to, and her intended groom realizes that his enchanting prize will be much harder to win than he imagined. Lynsay's loyal listeners, as well as fans of Hannah Howell and Kinley MacGregor, will adore The Chase...as well as the very sexy capture!

The chase is book 3 in the series, written in 2010, while the 2 former books were Lynsey Sands first two published books from 1997. It's funny and witty although not quite as good as the first two... I cannot remove a star for it!

Only what happened to Lady Helen... No update on if she was ok etc etc. It's obvious that it's been left open for a 4th book... but its 2017 and I'm gutted there isn't one!! Let's hope Ly say Sands doesn't wait too much longer to close that gap!!

Regardless I highly recommend ALL her historical books... I've not listened to one that wasn't 5* brilliant X

Love thy neighbor, 'tis said. A fine idea, except when the neighbor in question is Lord Holden. Lady Helen Tiernay has complained frequently about his treatment of his people. Too frequently perhaps, for the king intends to curb their constant bickering by ordering them to wed. Helen can't refuse a royal decree, but she'll do everything possible to drive away her devilishly attractive husband-to-be.

I am so glad I did!! I just LOVED it!

It's funny, sweet and charming. Lynsey Sands knows how to write a great book.

The NIV Audio Bible read by David Suchet has been arranged into daily readings to help you listen to the complete Bible in one year. In this digital download version, there is a portion from the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Psalms or Proverbs each day - each on a separate track, to make it easy to navigate. Ever since he became a Christian at the age of 40, it was Poirot actor David Suchet's dream to make an audio recording of the whole Bible.

I've always wanted to read the whole bible, but never managed it to date. This is great because it breaks the bible down into manageable amounts of around 20 minutes a day. A psalm or proverb, new testiment and old testiment daily, and as each day picks up where the last left off you get the bigger picture of each book within the bible.

With your download you get 12 parts, each mart with around 90 chapters, with 3 chapters a day to listen to.

David Suchet has the best voice for this, at first I though it too calm, but I was wrong. He reads it very well, articulates perfectly. its a pleasure to listen to this version.

If like me you like to follow along with a print copy of the bible then this waz read with the 2011 revised NIV of the bible. So if your bible is older it's best to upgrade to help you follow it better.

All in all one of my best buys.

One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennett, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

I loved this book, who doesn't? but I felt the narrator was a bit flat... This book has fun and bounce but it never came across that way... He falls in love with her fun nature, but in this she was quite flat. One character has a lisp and the mother sounded like a child. I will be looking to buy another version of this the next time I want to read it...
