With the first book I was “meh!)

But engaged enough ( mainly due to the excellent narration) to listen to the second book (the hell hound of the Baskervilles) and this made me laugh a lot

But the third book was awesome, funny and exciting

I love the little knocks at the original books

Excellent story

What a premise the daughters of famous monster/mad scientists.

great story and intriguing characters and a nice reinventing of more famous names (sherlock dracula) and the introduction of lesser know characters(the poisonous girl)

and who couldn't love Diana???

Thanks Theodora cant wait for the third installment!

What a lovely insight to the pleasures and down falls of growing old

Gordon Kennedy is a delight to listen, Billy would have been better but totally understandable why he couldn’t or couldnae (did you see what I did there)😂

Oh my lord what a listen!

Many many belly laughs equaled by many many tears

From her description of dreaming of bringing Rakki the street child home to the oh so familiar description of the passing of her dad, the tears I cried could start a new Ganges!

And the laughs came thick and fast ( the street mice chewing down on a pilfered power bar is only eclipsed by Simon the blessed miracle pig)

And all done with a self deprecating humour that, almost, hides a massive and formidable intellect

I defy you not to want Sue to be your best friend after listening to this!!

I love this character, Yahtzee manages to strike the right balance between incompetent and brilliance perfectly.

Surely there is going to be more of these world, it needs more exploring.

Get your finger out Yahtzee!!

Ruth histories are about people without power without influence who are just trying to get by

Like most of us

It’s an eye opener to see how our great grand parents lived (in very old 😂)

She gets you laughing, crying (oh my lord somethings that the women had to do just to survive was so harrowing and the children!!) and she also lightens it all with humour

If you have any interest in REAL history download this now

The narration was also top drawer

Brilliant
