William Nicholson's Tony-nominated stage adaptation of his award-winning BBC teleplay relates the story of shy Oxford don and children's author C.S. Lewis and American poet Joy Gresham. Shadowlands shows how love, and the risk of loss, transformed this great man's relationships, even with God.

A witty and moving performance. Excellent cast who support the plays unsentimental but yet powerful displays of love and loss. A play, though, more about how in the face of the inevitable to remain undaunted and unwavering even though the forthcoming pain will be suffocating.

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stopped the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train was surprisingly full for the time of the year. But by the morning there was one passenger fewer. An American lay dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside.

If you could sum up Murder on the Orient Express in three words, what would they be?

Captivating, thoughtful, enjoyable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Murder on the Orient Express?

Mrs. Hubbard - just a quirky character.

What does David Suchet bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Everything. Loved Suchet in the series but hadn't realised his skills in bringing a book to life before. Such a wide variety of accents and voices - really wonderful. Such nuances can easily be missed in the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

That would give too much away.

Any additional comments?

Can't recommend this audio enough. If you love Suchet then you can't go wrong plus this has some subtle but important differences to the TV version.

At first, only a few things are known about the celestial object that astronomers dub Rama. It is huge, weighing more than ten trillion tons. And it is hurtling through the solar system at inconceivable speed. Then a space probe confirms the unthinkable: Rama is no natural object. It is, incredibly, an interstellar spacecraft. Space explorers and planet-bound scientists alike prepare for mankind's first encounter with alien intelligence.

Where does Rendezvous with Rama rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a great story told in classic Clarke style. An engaging array of characters set in a world of the future that brings into question thoughts on progress, science and discovery. On top of this Toby Longworth is excellent in bringing the story to life with his range of voices and accents with all their nuances. A real joy to listen to.

What other book might you compare Rendezvous with Rama to, and why?

I suppose there were moments that reminded me of 'The Martian' - exploration and dealing with problems encountered.

Which character – as performed by Toby Longworth – was your favourite?

All of them were great

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not to spoil the book but discoveries made on Rama

Any additional comments?

A great story filled with subtle commentary
