Using terminology that conjours the depth of this book, in the telling of how the battle of heaven created hell. I am no religious person quite the anti. but this book (I was given this to review so wanted to respect the Authors time given to it so continued)
But it became so compulsive, I found myself rooting for the what we would say bad guys, backstabbing and pride causing the ultimate downfall. It was narrated with a style that felt part of the scene,
A very entertaining read, flawlessly delivered and worth the read. jim

I have not put a title like this but it was just different enough to be so direct. I love the all action hero Jack reacher James Bond Harry Potter and the likes. But I have never understood how they became the man the became, we expect them to be the hero, but never why. This book I saw a believable reason someone becomes who they are. How someone can lose their human indifference to life and death,
my ONLY issue with this book is I have to get more of Mr Slaughters adventures. curse you Mr Beltz. Curse you.
The action is totally believable even acceptable and so well written it left me for nothing,, and the Narration, To me Shawn Milo drew me so into the story, I totally lost myself, and thats the art of a true storyteller. Like watching a well produced film, its just enveloped you.
I well recommend this book ladies and mentlemen.

Err anyone got a few quid I'm hooked.

This is a book you dont want your therapist to see, It explores the boundaries of what you will or should read, I was expecting Grandpa to have his victims, but he focussed Everything towards his OWN grandson,
`graphical and horrifying I just wanted more, and feel Jon Athan could have extended this torture another 400 pages. as it became my guilty pleasure wondering what could happen next.

not for the easily offended, young families or Politicians, but for the intrigued its a ball. jim

A more realistic approach to magic, allowing you to get inside the main character and involve yourself in his journey from dreams of magical yet knowingly trickery on the big stage, to becoming a magician for real, not just that but one of the most powerful.
Enjoyable and entertaining read, and worthy of feet up and enjoying in full.

Hey Im a fan, I was hooked on Nameless Dwarf, so gimme another mean tuff hero sub 4 feet in then count me in ,, Shagrak is as knarley as my mothers elbows, and tuff as the wife on a bad day, but he is soon you can like. Its good to have a hero development that doesn't relay on huge powers magic and the ilk (that I do love) but relies on his whit and grizzly determination.

After nameless that was an epic adventure Shadrack left me really wanting more mooooreee MOOOORREEEEE.
Great book and we'll worth the read. Jim

A great unique twist on time travel. I think it had time travel im still thinking of the Twins, (trust me you will understand)
To be honest I was hoping to rewind time and add a few more hours to the book as I wanted more.
One thing without going into the story, is time goes too quick when your enjoying something . Jim

This my second Flipped fairy Tales book, and My review has to feature how well the vision of the story and its narrations have come together in a way only the visionary's writer could portray, In this case both narrator and Writer ate the same, and a great pairing. I normally cringe when a narrator has to sing a melody, but wow Starla could bring out an album ad it would sell in droves. I could almost see her vocals. The story a mashup of a female Jack and the beanstalk goes haywire. Kept me well entertained throughout, at some point I was thinking where is this going. to be brought in line. A realy enjoyable book and well worth the time and respect given. Jim

Rather than throw you into mindless fantasy that just assumes you are prepared to believe in it, Epic almost explains why a future could be lived through the fantasy roll play rather than having to face cold realities of life. Pretty complex story superbly narrated and executed throughout, I found my walks clouded with visions I have not had before. A good book and well worth the time devoted to respect it. Jim
