Surprised by how much I enjoyed this book! Quite a witty story, with lots of sarcasm and humourous expressions thrown in amongst quite a serious and morbid undertone!

No real twists and turns, but lots of surprises and a completely different thriller style of story to anything I've heard before.

Quite a simple story, with no real twists or turns, and yet kept me listening and enjoyed all the way through.

A few lives and characters to become involved with and that you can associate with. A good listen for nothing too taxing!

Purchased after receiving a recommendation from friends local to St Ives. Having lived there, and now return whenever I can, this really made me smile at the familiar locations, descriptions, and associations attached.

Lovely, feel good story too with a happy ending :)

I've loved this story over the years, so hearing it from the horse's mouth (!) has been another way of enjoying the story and becoming immersed from Black Beauty's perspective. Simple and moving, this is a classic and easy listening tale.

No real shocks or surprises in this story, but have really enjoyed the simplicity and innocent of it!

Life in the countryside depicted really well, becoming part of the various lives that take place on and around Hope Farm, with lots of laugh out loud moments and quips you can picture all too well if you've grown up in the country!

I've enjoyed just enjoying a simple storyline for a change!

Loved this book. Having seen the play many years ago I wanted to revisit the story. Full of innocence and childhood magic, with an undertone of poignant notions we should all keep hold of and be more positive!

Really enjoyable and innocent story. Set back in war time when so much was different for women and their rights. A love story, sandwiched with interesting detours!

Struggled with some of the concepts in this book, but enjoyed it anyway. The emotions and family connections resignate, putting them first and selflessly correcting moments that happened unfairly. if only we all had those opportunities!

I didn't love this audible book, but did enjoy listening to it on my daily commute. Inspirational in storyline, which was well read by using the voice of the person affected by a life changing accident. Real easy listening story.
