The advice in this book is clear, concise and practical. Build the habits you've always wanted by following the advice herein, which is doled out in short bitesize chapters, each with its own summary. Clear reads his own book quite well so I can recommend the Audible version.

Tough going but packed with well considered arguments and evidence. Pinker combines neuroscience, history, psychology and statistics to demonstrate that modern times are the least violent in history and then explain why.

A good performance by the narrator but Pinker himself is a great speaker. I'd have enjoyed if he'd had read it himself.

A good introduction to the topic.

A technical and fledgling topic, written about in a way that will be understandable to most. Well worth listening to. At times there was a lot of simplification e.g. "good bacteria" and "bad bacteria", but as someone new to the topic I felt this was justified as there was quite enough jargon for me already.

Narrator had strange emphasis at times as if she hadn't understood fully what she was reading, but it's a hard job and her voice and accent were very clear.

Great concept, poor execution

An alien comes to Earth, inexplicably goes against everything his culture ever stood for. It just wasn't believable for me. His thinking was far too human throughout.
