I found that this book went into too much detail when it came to bodily parts and added nothing to the story, except to “pad it out”. I really wasn’t interested in how the body decomposed. Also, some of the characters sounded very quite and slow ..... therefore, I had to turn the sound up and then all of a sudden there would be shouting and would have to turn the sound down!

I purchased two Tony Parsons books and then realized that I had listened to another Tony Parsons some time ago and wasn’t impressed with him then, however, I thought these might have been better......unfortunately, they weren’t.

Swearing was gratuitous

Story line reasonable, but, the amount of foul language with certain really bad words were enough to make me want to stop listening. Surely the author can use other terminology to get the feeling over to his listeners. If you find gratuitous swearing offensive, then don’t listen.

After 15 chapters and listening to Jafaican accents I could not listen to this book any longer. I did not buy this book to listen to a story about London gangs which were almost unintelligible . If I could have returned the book I would have done.
