I really loved this book because I felt like I learned a lot about David without this book every feeling too structured or prescribed. David explains his life in a way that kept me laughing but also gave me a lovely insight into his life. I would think if you’d ever liked seeing him doing panel shows or sketch shows, then you will likely enjoy this book.

If you want an uplifting romance story with some tears a lot of laughs and a protagonist you can relate to - buy this book. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Family and career issues are something we can all relate to and this book has it all.

This book is 80% hilarious stories with interesting and amazing stories if you like slightly darker humour, you will love this. The rest of the book has massively touching elements, no preaching, just informative and with an important message that never feels forced on you.

Gabrielle makes you feel at home. She is like a girlfriend in that her unreserved honesty makes her as real as a friend sitting beside you. The book was funny but also heart warming, and shared insights into her experience as a black woman and as a survivor

This book feels so real, with all the gritty horrible realities there but also all the loveliness too. Can't recommend this book enough

I thought this book would be a self guidance type book and while it did help me to see things in a different light. It did so with very interesting stories, so varied but all with the link of habits, I loved this book! I wasn't bored for a moment, I would recommend it to absolutely anyone

Really loved this book. The concepts were so different to anything I've read before and very complex but explained well enough that everything made sense. You really care about the characters. I also really enjoyed the authors little talk at the end of the audiobook, so if he's telling the truth, he'll read this so thanks Luke! Great book and can't wait to read more of your work

I loved this book! I learned a lot about things different to my own experience and while most of the book was delightful and funny there were moments where it challenged my perceived beliefs and I think it opened my mind a little more. Honestly loved this book and would definitely recommend

I really love the book. I got through it much quicker than I normally do with other books. If you've watched the tv series first, just know there's a lot less drama in the book, that isn't to say there is none but it's less brutal in the violent sort of way and more of an insight into real prison life. Only thing I would change if I could is a little bit of story of piper settling back into life once on the outside again, all in all though, the book is brilliant

Very common sense and Braggy, better for young teens

Let me start by saying I didn't hate the book, it was just not as good as I was hoping it would be. I felt that all of the advice and 'inspiration' was very basic and common sense 'work hard, be yourself' and the general theme of the book felt like a memoir of 'look how good I am, I am better than other business owners'. I appreciate she has worked hard and deserves to brag but to me the tone was very negative to other people in the insinuation that other people are not successful because they just did me try as hard as her. She seemed very negative about her school peers, parents, other eBay sellers and professionals in her industry. I do however think her stories were interesting and could be inspiring to a young teenager, I would only recommend to those between 13-16
