When I started listening to this book I realised I'd already read it a year ago on Kindle. My initial thought was to return it and re-use the credit, but I was on a dog walk and left it playing anyway, and I'm glad I did. It's just brilliant. So many wonderful and valuable lessons about love and relationships. This book should be read by everyone, several times. I won't be returning it, so that I can listen to it over and over.

Where does Unshakeable rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I normally do not listen to/read books about finance, in fact I actively ignore anything to do with money but, realising that I need to consider what my retirement will look like, I bought this book. I am a huge Tony Robbins fan anyway, he does amazing work and has incredible drive, and he has taken the time to thoroughly research the area of investing because he knows how impossible it is for the ordinary person to navigate. He wants to make sure everyone has the know-how to plan for their future and to stop losing vast amounts of money in fees and investing in managed funds. I saw a video of Tony Robbins stating how much he dislikes writing books, so it is even more wonderful that he has taken the time to write this for us. Plus, 100% of the profits of the book go to charity.
Tony, thank you so much for writing this book and giving us such incredible information and arming us with the confidence to move ahead with successful financial planning.

Marianne Williamson is a best-selling author, a world-renowned teacher, and one of the most important spiritual voices of our time. In Tears to Triumph, she argues that we - as a culture and as individuals - have learned to avoid facing pain. By doing so we are neglecting the spiritual work of healing. Instead of allowing ourselves to embrace our hurt, we numb it, medicate it, dismiss it, or otherwise divert our attention so that we never have to face it.

Have you listened to any of Marianne Williamson’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have enjoyed all of the books and workshops that I have listened to by MW. Excellent information and many 'aha' moments, and a very easy-to-listen-to narration.

What did you like most about The Choice for Love?

I am only part of the way through this book but I have learned a lot already. Having listened to many books on love and spirituality, I wondered if there would be anything new, but there is. It is excellent.
The author has a perfect voice for narrating her book, so it is very easy to listen to, which I realised is so important after having to return a book recently due to the harshness of the narrator's voice.

Would you try another book written by Laura Berman or narrated by Laura Berman?

I am interested to hear the contents of the book but, I am really sorry to say this, I find the narration impossible to listen to. It is harsh and 'shouty'. As a Brit, it is also tricky to tune into the pronunciation of some of the words, such as "Gad" (God), "baddies" (bodies) and "kwannum" (quantum).
I don't mean to offend Laura Berman at all, as I am sure the contents of the book are very useful, but it would have been nicer to listen to a gentler voice.

It might be helpful to listen to an except first before buying, and perhaps consider the paper version instead. I have not done this yet, so my three stars for the story is because the topic is interesting.

Would you be willing to try another one of Laura Berman’s performances?

No, sorry. I would be keen to listen if it was narrated in a gentler tone.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Quantum Love?

I'm afraid I can't comment on this as I could not listen to more than a couple of chapters.

Respect, trust, and commitment are the cornerstones of a dedicated relationship between a teacher and a student. For a passionate student yearning to learn and understand the essence of a subject, they must demonstrate these traits before a teacher will take them under their wing. In this case, the teacher was Thomas Troward of Cornwall England and the student was Genevieve Behrend. He imparted his personal insight to the one and only pupil who could perpetuate this knowledge and share it with the world.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Books reminding us of the power of the universe and our own power within it to visualise and manifest what we dream of are always worthwhile, and this is one of those books. Sadly I had to rate it lower than I would have liked due to the point below

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Very unfortunately, in places, the narrator seems to simultaneously be in a 'fastest reader' competition, or rushing to complete it as soon as possible because there was only a limited time in the recording studio. The speed of the narration and the quickness of the flow of the words makes this a rather difficult book to follow. It is necessary to read this more slowly in order to understand some of the concepts, so my advice would be to buy the paper book instead.
