Valid information but a tad contradictory at times

Very well read but the headline is misleading and should instead be something like 'debunking popular recovery myths'. Also, the author appears to criticise research when it suits, but never really questions the validity of research that demonstrates her point. In truth, I believe the author has done their homework and she is correct in her comments but it could easily be misleading.

Loved Sam Briggs story and also how she kept her British audience at the forefront. Would have been all too easy to target the Americans given the CrossFit bias towards that audience. Unfortunately there was some issues with the audio at times. It seemed there were sections where the audio overlapped.

Excellent book, but David Epstein's accents are a bit.... Cringey. Content however is fantastic. 5 stars.

Lots of info from all different angles. Excellent for those with a keen eye on pushing limits and the realities of what works, what may work and what doesn't.

Love that she read it herself.

Brilliant book, excellent messages. The fact she read it herself meant you could feel her emotions throughout and gave it a whole new meaning.

Excellent message and presents simple to understand and follow, actionable messages. Perhaps focuses a bit too much on Katrin Davidsdottir, but understandable to an extent as she lives with Ben Bergeron and is the closest athlete to him. Would perhaps have liked to hear more about Cole as an athlete who is progressing and working hard to be the best he can, also with the mindset, but is yet to achieve podium success. Maybe a take on the mindset from someone in his position. But all in all, the intention of the book is successfully executed.
