I really enjoyed this book and stayed up late to listen to the final hour which has splendid twists. It joins other recent thrillers that rely on an 'unreliable narrator' . A worthwhile use of my monthly credit.

Truly some of the most annoying characters ever. Maybe the narrator made the female character even more tearful and neurotic than necessary. She needed a slap with a wet fish! The boyfriend was someone you want to drown he was such an idiot. The other woman Beth was someone you would move away from in a bar or party after 10 minutes. Refund please.

lovely story with good narration.

Beth Miller has really captured what it means to move between 2 completely different social worlds- orthodox Judaism and 'the real world' This a talented writer with real heart and I look forward to her next novel.

I really liked this. It was the same author/narrator as 'I found You' which I also enjoyed. Made a pleasant change from the last couple of books which I had refunded. I will explore other Jewell books and see if they haver the same high standard. Highly recommended.

10/10 for narration but only 5/10 for the story which was such a fantasy trip. It made me chuckle, BUT thriller of the year??? I hope not. Very sexy passages though and the narrator was really good.

One of the very worst books I have listened to in my many years using audible. Admittedly, I wanted something fairly 'light' but this floated out the window and was away with the faeries. I come from the rougher parts of London and this was such a ridiculous rendering of the voices and attitudes of real villains and people as to be truly risible. I am amazed at the good ratings this book has had which is why I bought it in the first place.

This is the best Lemaitre book I have listened to. Very clever story with great characters and a great narrator. Brings post-war Great War France to life.

Max Wolf just gets better and better and Colin Mace is a fine narrator. Book left me quite teary with its final sad twists. Look forward to the next instalment.
