A business parable about how to create a start-up that won't trap you when you want to sell it. According to John Warrillow, the number one mistake entrepreneurs make is to build a business that relies too heavily on them. Thus, when the time comes to sell, buyers aren't confident that the company-even if it's profitable-can stand on its own. To illustrate this, Warrillow introduces us to a fictional small business owner named Alex who is struggling to sell his advertising agency.

Writing and self-publishing on Amazon can sound like a dream, but it's much simpler than you think. With the publishing tools Amazon has available - Kindle, CreateSpace, ACX - it would be easy to get overwhelmed, though. Still, self-publishing is an easy way to get your content out to the most listeners as quickly as possible on a globally distributed platform in various digital, paperback, hard cover, audio CD, and downloadable audiobook formats.

In short, this book says to be successful put more effort in. To be precise, 10 x more effort. That's it. Chapter after chapter of boredom without learning anything new.

The problem I have is that I would prefer to have a book teaching me to work smarter, not harder. Secondly, I don't want someone to shout at me instead of read to me. Thirdly, I don't want another man to repeatedly call me "baby" throughout the book and say things like "this bit wasn't in the book". I though I was purchasing "the audiobook". Advise for the author; don't be cheap and avoid paying a professional to narrate your audiobook. I'm sure you're an excellent public speaker but your style is not suited to hour after hour of audiobook. The last problem I have is that each low level point was laboured for far too long with analogy after analogy after analogy. I have to admit shouting out loud to "get on with it" and "tell me something I don't know"!. Is it worth the money? No. Is it worth losing your valuable life's time to this book? "Hell, no way baby".
