At no point did I get a sense of wow. The story was slow and it lacked suspense. Usually I really enjoy her books and so this was a disappointment.

The overall Audible was good but certainly close to the start I nearly gave up and at no stage did I find myself unable to stop listening. Notwithstanding this, it was pleasant, good unexpected twist but otherwise predictable.

Struggled to finish. slow pace throughout but nice 70s nostalgia of the police and attitudes.

I started off being disappointed thinking it was written as a diary but then I worked out the three person analogue. The story was good...no ...very good. I loved the narrator....however...as an Audible I would have found it less confusing if the three people were narrated by different people...a reading book has the benefit of being able to flick back to check whose who whereas a listening book doesn't. Nothwithstanding this, once you get into the flow...it's a great crack!

Ive listened or read a number of physiological thrillers recently that have a now and then plot (seems to be the popular trend) but this one has a great twist that actually made me turn the Audible off to think it all through. it took me a long time before I felt I'd got it enough to continue. A good listen and we'll read.

A book filled with emotion. It was sad and yet also made me laugh. I think most people have felt lonely at some stage but the descriptions in this book of Elena' s feelings are thought provoking. The meandering way in which the story unfolds and the excellent reader made this book an incredible journey. Not my usual genre and so a refreshing change.
