Jackson Brodie has relocated to a quiet seaside village in North Yorkshire, in the occasional company of his recalcitrant teenage son Nathan and ageing Labrador Dido, both at the discretion of his former partner Julia. It’s a picturesque setting, but there’s something darker lurking behind the scenes. Jackson’s current job, gathering proof of an unfaithful husband for his suspicious wife, seems straightforward, but a chance encounter with a desperate man on a crumbling cliff leads him into a sinister network - and back into the path of someone from his past.

Really enjoyed the latest installment on Jackson Brodie from Kate Atkinson.
The older books weren't very fresh, but many of the references and characters brought them flooding back.

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Heroes, written and read by Stephen Fry. There are heroes - and then there are Greek heroes. Few mere mortals have ever embarked on such bold and heart-stirring adventures, overcome myriad monstrous perils or outwitted scheming vengeful gods quite as stylishly and triumphantly as Greek heroes. In this companion to his best-selling Mythos, Stephen Fry brilliantly retells these dramatic, funny, tragic and timeless tales.

I have listened to this book twice back to back and just bought a paper copy to work through the the exercises. It made for uncomfortable listening at times, as I recognised my chimp being in control far, far more than I expected. I think this book has the potential to be life changing, I just need to do some of things it suggests. This book was recommended to me (I would not have chosen it otherwise), and I would certainly recommend it to others. Just make sure you go in with an open mind and some self awareness m
