Everybody Writes is a go-to guide to attracting and retaining customers through stellar online communication, because in our content-driven world, every one of us is, in fact, a writer. If you have a web site, you are a publisher. If you are on social media, you are in marketing. And that means that we are all relying on our words to carry our marketing messages. We are all writers.

This might be a good book...
...but the chances are that you'll struggle to endure the abysmal delivery - unless you enjoy being read to by someone who sounds like she's teaching elementary school kids whilst off her box on downers and happy pills.

This is just painfull to listen to, and playback speed-changing playback produces awful artefacts: the nett result is that you'll either fall asleep or want to punch the reader in the mouth and tell her to ..."get on with it, for God's sake!".

Whatever else this book has to say about writing content, its most potent lesson is how not to read and present an audiobook.

This is my autobiography. It's not a novel; it's my life story where I want to motivate and influence others. It shows lots of emotion, both highs and lows, how to succeed - it shows how I turned 37p into 100 million pounds. I have dyslexia and ADHD which is highlighted as you listen to the book. Due to this I often get sidetracked and have to go back to the original part of the story; again, this is highlighted.

Is this a great story, a great business book, or a great self-help book?
In my opinion, it's all three.
Neville and Marilyn's story will both move you to tears and have you laugh out loud, but beneath all the narrative there is rock-solid advice for us entrepreneurs - and a great deal of that crosses over into non-business, too - that's the self-help factor.
I absolutely loved this book - thanks Neville.

Would you listen to Money again? Why?

Yes - emphatically.
I'm in business for myself and still struggle with the bogus beliefs about money that were handed down to me by people who cared too much about me and knew too little about money.
I will share this audiobook with my son when we're travelling, because he needs to understand money, and the schools ain't teaching it.

What did you like best about this story?

You get a real sense of the author's raw honesty and passion, given in his own voice rather than a voice-over artist

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Childhood scenes had me into the wayback machine.

Any additional comments?

Essential reading, authoritative voice, authentic and passionate. Buy This Book.

When Chris McDougall stumbled across the story of Churchill's 'dirty tricksters', a motley crew of English poets and academics who helped resist the Nazi invasion of Crete, he knew he was on the track of something special. To beat the odds, the tricksters - starving, aging, outnumbered - tapped in to an ancient style of fitness: the lost art of heroism.

Have you listened to any of John Chancer’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Ambition can be a powerful force for good in our lives. But only if it is legitimate. Sometimes misinterpreted and often misunderstood, ambition - true ambition - is not a selfish quality. It is not another word for ruthless; it is not something to be shunned or subdued. Legitimate ambition is an honorable trait. At its very best, our ambition serves us and other people. In fact, pursuing your ambition is one of the most selfless things you can do.

His take, and his directness

Yes

Any additional comments?

I could do without any religious references in a non-fiction book, but his biblical references don't undermine his ideas completely. Filter out the religious stuff and this is a good listen.

My Italian friend howled with laughter at Michel Thomas' "Italian" accent. She said that if I spoke like that in Genoa I'd be laughed at - and she was right!
Please change this to a NATIVE Italian speaker: this is not a bad course per se, but the pronunciation is poor. I'd love to big this course up, but I trust mt Italian friends more than a publisher's sales spin.

Although now beloved and revered by millions as the greatest composer who ever lived, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) was best known in his lifetime as an organist, and was eclipsed in fame as a composer by two of his twenty children. For the last twenty-seven years of his life he was a schoolteacher and choir director whose duties extended to meal supervision and dormitory inspection. Yet throughout his career he composed a vast body of music which is amongst the most joyful, dancing and enrapturing ever written.
