3 PARA was the first unit into Helmand in 2006. Sent on a peace mission, it became engaged in a level of combat that had not been experienced by the British Army since the end of the Korean War. Undermanned and suffering from equipment shortages, 3 PARA fought doggedly to win the break in battle. Numerous gallantry decorations were awarded, but they were not without cost. This is a dramatic, and often moving, insight into the leadership of soldiers at the sharp end of war.

A fantastic insight into the world of commanding a British Army regiment. I am very proud of the professionalism and commitment of our troops. It is a shame they don't get the lasting support they deserve from our government. Maybe the best modern war book i have read

I'm British and I admire all who are in the forces. This story is a testament to all those heroes who fight the war on terror. The well placed humour was an added bonus. This book is a fitting tribute to the three men (not forgetting the other SEALs) who fought heroically to bring one lone survivor home.

P.S. The Lone Survivor film is a brilliant adaptation

Listeners first encountered Tobias Eaton as "Four" in Divergent. His voice is an integral part of Allegiant. Listeners will find more of this charismatic character's backstory told from his own perspective in Four: A Divergent Collection. When heard together, these long narrative pieces illuminate the defining moments in Tobias Eaton's life.

What if your whole world was a lie? What if a single revelation - like a single choice - changed everything? What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected? The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered - fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she's known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

The ending for me was the most rewarding of any young adult series in recent years. It's refreshing to have an ending that leaves you slightly hollow because the lead character is missing. But it also makes the messages at the end far more powerful. The first film adaption

Normally i am a fan of a film depiction of a book but in this case i was very disappointed. The book is soooo much better. The book is far more raw and disturbing, which is not the impression the film gives you. This is partly due to the fact that a lot more of what is in a book is in a character's head and so would have to be said in a stupid way to get a point across. Tris is an a lot more delicate/fragile and real character in the book rather than this strong, emotionless heroine that the film portrayed. (This is the same with the Hunger Games). A good start to a very intriguing trilogy!
