The whole trilogy has been full of peaks a valleys, I wasn’t expecting anything different in this one.
Although all secrets were revealed and we learned everything behind them, I couldn’t get past how they came to be. It creeped me out but all in all it was a nice ending.

I listened to the audiobook version:

I was so so excited to find out what was going on, but it fell slightly short for me. I just didn't like Jonas' authoritative side in this one. I found him TOO much and would've never been able to forgive him for what he did. She was in the wrong as well, but you can understand why she did what she did at least.
The writing was good and I liked the narrator, it was still an interesting listen, I just couldn't gel with the story as much as I did the first. I am interested to find out what happens though.

Julia's only plan is to earn enough money to fund her studies of French cuisine in Paris. Sidney is not the only young girl who will be groomed at the home of Mr. Fairbanks. What was taught as sinful, now, clouds her moral judgment of right and wrong. Julia fights with her innocence, giving into lust and a world all new to her.

What a mindfuck!!! I had no idea what was going on throughout. You think you know, but you really don't. And even though you kinda know, you also don't hahah! It's so confusing, but in a way that kept me listening and wanting to know what the hell was happening!
Sometimes you don't like Jonas, sometimes you do. I'm so confused by my feelings for him that I need to find out what's happening before I make up my mind about him. There's obviously something not wuite right, and something very controlling that makes you hmmm. But I really can't wait to find out.

I'm still getting used to a single POV narrative, but I love this narrator. Her voice is one I could listen to all day.

The whole plot is such a good story, but it kills me to say I don’t think I was carried out as well as it could’ve been.
I didn’t like either character. I thought Justine was a little weak and needy, and Rafael was awful to her at times as well as full of himself. It seemed like every time they were together they were having sex, and I wanted more story instead. I enjoyed the narrative of when the weren’t together, but it just didn’t meet my expectations unfortunately.
Had I have read it instead of listened to the audiobook, my review may be different, but the narrators male voice didn’t appeal to me.
I do like this narrator for a female POV though.
Overall the writing was good, the story just wasn’t for me.

I have a secret. A secret that chased me away from my home, my family, away from the only man I've ever loved. I took that secret and pushed it down inside of me.So far down, that it never had a chance of coming out. That dirty little secret was like a seed. A seed that took root and grew to become a piece of me. But what happens when that secret has finally outgrown me? When its vines climb over every wall I have in place? When it finally overfills that little spot inside of me that it's been buried in for so long now? All secrets come out eventually.

I want to start of by saying that I didn’t even read the blurb before going into this so I was fully blind, not knowing what the book was going to be about.
I normally prefer dual narration but Sarah did such a great job that I had no problem listening to it all in a day.
Not onto the story. Striker and Lex have always been in love, but 6 years ago she up and left him in the lurch.
I was dying to know why, but at the same time I just wanted her to tell him her secret. I kept saying “jut tell him!” Haha! I love that angst and was not expecting what actually happened. Poor Lex.
Altogether a well written story that was fabulously narrated.

It's just a docuseries about your career as an OB/GYN, they said. It won't interrupt your life during or after filming, they said. It's a great opportunity for the hospital and your practice, they said. Well, they - the television executives who seem intent on ruining my career and personal life with a fair number of creative liberties - lied. Now I'm stuck dealing with the consequences of believing them. Instead of being known as Dr. Will Cummings, head of obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke's Hospital, I'm now being called Dr. Obscene.

I’m talking about the usage of a certain C word to describe lady parts! Lol! It wasn’t for me and it really put me off.

Another brilliant audiobook, and a perfect conclusion to the story. King is the perfect alpha male. Around 60% of the way through I was on the end of my seat even though I already knew what happens because I’ve read these books previously!
This book will take all the things you thought you knew and throw them right off the page and laugh it’s ass off at you as it does.
Be prepared, because Brantley King is going to own your life for every minute of this book!

Have you ever read a book that's left you completely and utterly speechless. I mean a mind blowing, heart pounding, tear jerking, emotion producing on all ends of the spectrum, book that has you reevaluating and being so much more grateful for everything you have in your life. A book so incredible that I can't even bring myself to message the author before writing this out loud for everyone to see.
You see, Katie Fox, you've truly put me through the ringer and guess what?

“At the very least, there are about a quarter million words in the English language. I want one of them from you. I don’t want you to think about your answer. I just want the first word that enters your mind. Okay?”

Stunning.

I give it my highest recommendation for you all to pick up this damn beautiful book and live it (yes, I meant live not love but you can also do that too.) I can’t give it enough praise, and although, as Owen says, at the very least there are about a quarter million words in the English language, I can’t come up with enough for how utterly fantastic this story is.

Katie has become a unicorn author for me, one I want to read everything she ever writes without an inch of coercion. She breathes life into words that brand themselves onto your soul.

Seriously, read/listen to this book! The narrators are fantastic throughout!
