Nobody knew where it came from. Nobody knew why it came. When an eight-foot-tall man made of stone appears in the middle of a busy city center one July afternoon, two-bit (and antisocial) reporter Andy Pointer assumes it's just a publicity stunt. Indeed, so does everyone else...until the Stone Man begins to walk, heading silently through the wall of the nearest building, flattening it, and killing several people inside as a result.

Throughly enjoyable and engaging story by Luke Smitherd, with fantastic narration by Matt Addis.

I’d not listened to anything by either of these people and so didn’t really know what to expect. All I can say is - WOW! The story was great, affecting me more emotionally than I had expected, and the narration was first class (I loved Matt’s Sheffield accent, perfection).

So (to Luke) you’re shameless begging worked 😃

I stuck with this through to the end but I've got to admit that I didn't really enjoy this book, not that it's a bad story, just not for me. Morena Baccarin was a treat to listen to and really added depth to the accents of the various characters.

If you're a fan of teen star crossed lovers then I'm sure you'll enjoy this book, if you're not I'd give it a wide berth.

Very enjoyable radio play with a great cast. Would have benefitted from removing the credit listing at the end of each 30 minute episode but it was easy enough to skip these when they cropped up.
A great way to spend a couple of hours.

I struggled to rate this book. It’s not bad but it’s very focused on the American market.

If you live in the USA then go ahead and try this book, if you don’t then it has limited value. There are generic tips on retirement planning but a good half of the book is USA specific. If you’re American and want to know about your 401K, or Medicare, or where to retire that’s US friendly then there’s information here. If you’re not then there is some general advice on planning but it’s really limited to choosing the right mix of investments for your pension fund and making sure you start to plan for your retirement early.
