Had high hopes for this book after reading the reviews. Found it quite gripping in places, but overall I found the story dragged and was pretty unbelievable in the end.
A different ending may have made this book amazing, who knows.
It was well written in places...which was a saving grace, but overall a disappointment.

Could not stop listening to this book. I binge listened in twenty four hours, every time I had a second.
The narration is second to none, it's acted out rather than just blandly read out. The story has so many twists and turns it takes your breath away.
I recommend this book very highly!

The Perry family's new house is perfect - except for the weird behavior of the neighbors, and that odd smell coming from a dark corner in the basement. Pity no one warned the family about the house. Now it's too late. Because the darkness at the bottom of the basement stairs is rising.

I found this book slightly too far fetched for my liking.
At one point I almost forgot a baby was missing! the story seemed to fly all over the place. kinda guessed the ending by the middle of the book.
