Really quite fantastic and coherent.

I will walk away with a good historical understanding of the standard ebb and flow of events and places. But also with a surprisingly deep insight into how societies opinions have evolved.

The book achieves a plausible instruction on society via its many quotes from all sectors of societies. These voices of the past are a constant beat, constantly being turned over and compared against each other. This is layered nicely with the broad and narrow history, plus the occasional memorable and informative tale.

Follows the institutions and teams

Does a good job of showing the technical challenges, with enough painting of the backdrop e.g. inter-service rivalry, presidential preferences etc. Does a very good job of articulating the parallel progression of technology,

It does not delve deep into the human experiences, and personal battles, which leaves it slightly dry, but gains it clarity.
