This book & books like it, should be required reading for ALL children, during their education. The fact that young people today, grow up not know what happened before & during WW2, is just not acceptable. Now, during a time when nationalism & populism is on the rise, around the world, our next generation of decision makers have to know what can happen, if the most powerful amongst us are allowed to abuse the power that they’ve been given.

I listened to this audiobook, after reading a very good review of the book.
It is a beautiful story, written from the perspective of the cat & it works to create a vision of how a a cat sees its human family.
If you love cats, you’ll love this book.

These short narratives, from a wide variety of people, was very interesting. I’d definitely listen to more, if there were any.

...are a great pairing. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, just like I’ve enjoyed all of the John Scalzi books, that have been narrated by Wil Wheaton.

...for anyone in or thinking of joining any child care profession.
This is a truly heart breaking story, of child care , neglect, abuse & a child desperate to understand who he is, where he is from & why he ended up where he is.
Please, listen to this audiobook. I am sure it will give you an insight into what it’s like to be in a child care environment.

I read a lot of very good reviews of this book & audiobook, before I downloaded it, so I was sure that it would be enjoyable. It did not disappoint. The writing & the performance of the narrator are both absolutely wonderful.
I’m sorry that I’ve come to the end of the book. I will certainly listen to it again & very much look forward to it becoming a movie.

I knew I’d enjoy this audiobook, because of how much I enjoyed Elvira Carr.
This book is funny, heart warming & heart breaking.
I’d love for there to be a sequel, just to see how Maggsie gets on.

I’ve really got into audiobooks of John Scalzi’s work, narrated by Wil Wheaton & this book did not disappoint. It’s funny, thought provoking & heart warming.
It’s a very different ‘first contact’ type of sci-fi, because...well you’ll have to listen to it or read it. I’m sure it will be worth the effort.
